Fairfax Printer Tours
Herald Education in collaboration with the Media News Team (contractor) aims to provide relevant information and experiences that stimulate and broaden interest, enjoyment and understanding of the process of producing a daily newspaper.
A tour of Fairfax Printers will enhance student knowledge across a range of syllabus courses as we investigate newspaper production and technology, discuss production statistics and paper recycling and view the machinery and robotics at work. Literacy skills are developed as students make the visual connection between the newspaper product and the newspaper production process at this 'behind the scenes' tour.
Media News Team has won the Performers in Schools Excellence Award for the second year running.
